Business of the Year
Each year the Chamber proudly announces the Large, Small, and Home-based Businesses of the Year at our Annual Installation Reception. The recipients represent the best of the best through their business practices and contributions to the community. In return, the Chamber recognizes their accomplishment throughout the year in many ways including:
- A Business of the Year Banner.
- A Business of the Year wall plaque.
- Included on Chamber’s “Business of the Year” webpage.
- Complimentary booth at the Chamber’s Home and Business Expo.
- Recipients will be incorporated into the Sierra Vista Leadership Program’s “Business Day”.
- Recognition at the Annual Membership meeting.
The Chamber Leadership Program fosters a sense of commitment to our local community and builds a diverse network of business people. Every year, the Sierra Vista Area Chamber of Commerce takes up-and-coming business people and sends them back to school. The subject is Sierra Vista’s economy, resources and challenges. Upon graduation, the programs mint a new batch of leaders: a diverse group of individuals with a renewed commitment to Sierra Vista, and the skills, contacts and information to turn commitment into action. The Leadership Program is designed to help business people become more active in the community by becoming volunteers and participating in local government. The Leadership Program is limited to 20 participants. Topics are designed to familiarize the participants with public policy issues and local organizations, and will include economic development, community services, military missions on Fort Huachuca, arts and culture, and media relations. The Leadership Program benefits the individual participant, their employer and the community as a whole.
